The greatest travelling companion

Hello all! I have not posted recently because I have been travelling around the country and receiving visitors in my beautiful home, Alaska. I had a wonderful time and it was so great to be able to see my family and friends. I was stewing over what my next post should be and I found it most appropriate to discuss my favorite little travelling companion.

We've all seen it. That poor family whose baby decides to not only make a wonderfully stinky present on the airplane, but also wants a change of clothing. I remember watching this poor father struggle with his bag in the overhead compartment to find a new change of clothes, silently praying someone would sacrifice their wal-mart bag so he could stealthily place the soiled clothes back in the suitcase for washing later. Wishing for that miracle that maybe he'd find two plastic bags, so he could dispose of the diaper too, and not let everyone in the plane know that HE WAS THE ONE who threw the diaper in the minuscule bathroom space trash can.

So Munchkin has once again come to the rescue. They make a wonderful little diaper baggy dispenser that conveniently attaches to your diaper bag, purse, backpack, fanny pack...whatever fits your style. And Arm & Hammer make scented refills in colors so you can have a discreet bag to place that color changing outfit in.

I used these great bags not only on the airplane, but on the side of the road when my poor daughter had her big one of the day on our way back from Whittier. They were big enough to cram all of her clothes in them and I tied it up and took care of it when I got home.

Yay for the diaper baggy dispenser!!! It's Practically Perfect!!!

A Nursing Must Have!!

It was about 2 weeks before I delivered when I was standing in Motherhood Maternity staring at the nursing bras and other nursing apparel trying to make a decision. Since I was in Motherhood I knew there was no turning back, what I bought was mine forever, for better or worse. But what do I choose? I had never nursed, had no idea what ridiculous size my milk filled chest was going to reach, and what about comfort? I was beginning to think comfort was a thing from my past, especially at 9 months pregnant.
It was upon a suggestion from a dear army wife friend of mine that I found the most perfect solution. Unfortunately this came after I bought assorted items at the "shop of no return", however I am totally thankful for Rachael's wonderful suggestion:

The Gilligan & O'Malley nursing tank top from Target.

Who knew Target would have the gem of all nursing accessories. In store you can buy black, white or grey. Online you can buy any color in the rainbow.

I love the tank because it covers any stretch marks that may be inadvertently shown while nursing. It is a great layering piece and extremely comfortable to wear to sleep. And best of all if you buy it while still pregnant and if it doesn't fit right when your milk comes in - It can be returned!
